Sitting on patio enjoying a very welcome rain (and light show) in a lull of what’s been a hellaciously windy thunderstorm. 87* feels cool after the last few days.
Enjoying a sample of ‘21 KBV Verve Engine that @lukasstrifeson included on a recent purchase-thanks!
Pipe is an interesting Peterson Sterling banded 338-has a block made in Ireland COM stamp with what looks like a 1999 hallmark.

It was too windy earlier, but yall get an obligatory horse pic anyway. It kind of counts, because I had a snort of Scottish snuff (thanks @khiddy!)

RMC Barking Road + Gasparini (Italy) smooth bent pipe — likely crafted in the 1980s or early 1990s, this elegant piece features a warm, smooth finish with subtle grain, and smokes very well. The stem shows the faint outline of the original Gasparini logo, and the wide decorative band is one of its defining elements. This non-silver band displays a clean, engraved Greek key pattern — a classical motif symbolizing eternity and unity — giving the pipe a refined and timeless character.

Phone rang very early this morning from the neighbour, was his wife. Bull had her husband on the ground and wouldn’t leave him, could I come. I rushed over with my dogs and they forced the bull off the body and then I pulled him under the rail but he was gone. Ambulance and Police are there now and a wife a three small children have lost their father this morning. I‘ve just lit my pipe and settling down and giving my dogs a big cuddle, fuck life is fickle!
Holy Shite, V! damn.

Not often I have had the energy to post this late at night, but a friend popped over for a "quick" smoke and I obliged. So here I am. Did a bit of emoticonning, too!

5th Break in smoke with the Mr. Brog #52 "Scoot", and the monster wrestled me into submission. Put in what I had left of the Captain Black Dark. just about a half bowl. Rather than open another packet, I filled the rest of the pipe with Sir Walter Raleigh, which was handy, and had my first ever "parfait." Granted, the tastebuds are not really there yet, but I had the best smoke in quite a while, and enjoyed the two-layer flavour which was apparent.

I will here state here unequivocally that this is by far the best cheap pipe I've ever smoked, and it holds its own with anything I've ever put in my mouth. I've never gotten less than 70 minutes with this pipe, and on reaching 80 tonight, I folded with relights left. Beaten into submission by this $20 US plus $7 bucks shipping from Poland Ugly Duckling that I bought as a joke. Yeah, it ain't cute, but beauty in the eye of this beholder designates this somewhat bizarre implement as my "go-to" opera pipe. It ain't a joke any longer. Salute.

Will be preparing my 4th of July celebration post all day tomorrow, so might not show up until the 4th. Lots of photos to edit.

Cheers. See y'all Friday.

Did some low calorie snacking, and am half way through this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Just watched Freddie Freeman get a walk off base hit for the Dodgers. Harry the Hairy finally showed up. he ate, and is snoozin' on the floor. Daisy the Feral Princess is near my feet. Sleepy Suzy is still by my side. Molly Danger is still with m'lady.
