Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm smoking New Watch City Beta Test #3 in an undated, unbranded straight lattice meerschaum military mount with a silver cap and tapered yellow acrylic stem. Watching a wild ball game, and getting ready to clean a few pipes in-between writing beta notes on this blend.

Just beautiful work!
Can't say that that they are affordable, for me.

To comment more on affordability, when I started this hobby, not that long ago, 300$ for a pipe was not affordable. How quickly my mindset has shifted!
This is how I think about it now: If I can afford 5 100$ pipes I can also afford 1 500$ pipe.
I’ve taken advantage of layaway options at smoking pipes and Danish Pipe shop. Most online vendors have layaway available if you ask. Danish pipe shop gives you a year to pay it off after 20% down. This is how I rationalize expensive pipes! 😂 Also, I really like the whole idea of supporting single artisans who are passionate about their craft. I want to make sure this art form continues, this is one small way of giving back to to the hobby.

I rationalize in a similar fashion about all sorts of things, like spending $20k on a compact track loader, leaving little room for expensive pipes. So, yeah, I understand your perspective.

Off to work with a bowl of year 2018 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a 1982 smooth straight Dunhill Root Briar 31051 dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Going to listen to the rest of this screwy ball game.
