To comment more on affordability, when I started this hobby, not that long ago, 300$ for a pipe was not affordable. How quickly my mindset has shifted!
I rationalize in a similar fashion about all sorts of things, like spending $20k on a compact track loader, leaving little room for expensive pipes. So, yeah, I understand your perspective. To comment more on affordability, when I started this hobby, not that long ago, 300$ for a pipe was not affordable. How quickly my mindset has shifted!
This is how I think about it now: If I can afford 5 100$ pipes I can also afford 1 500$ pipe.
I’ve taken advantage of layaway options at smoking pipes and Danish Pipe shop. Most online vendors have layaway available if you ask. Danish pipe shop gives you a year to pay it off after 20% down. This is how I rationalize expensive pipes! Also, I really like the whole idea of supporting single artisans who are passionate about their craft. I want to make sure this art form continues, this is one small way of giving back to to the hobby.
Yeah I got a 117 and 118 gram tins.131 grams of tobacco is a win compared to the 117 and 120 ones noted. Can’t smoke the coin.
