I do just under crispy. I have found that for “fire retardant“ blends a few seconds in the microwave on a paper plate, followed by a little room drying does the trick. The nuke time varies between 7-15 seconds. I make the time decision based on the moisture and pliability of the tobacco and experience. I live in FL so, atmospherics (humidity) plays a role, as well. You will still encounter re-lights but, the quality of some of these ‘hard to stay lit’ blends makes it worth it for me.
Sticking the plate in front of an air source (vent, ac, fan, etc) after nuking speeds the process.
