A quarter of the way through this bowl of D&R Penhooker Silver in a straight smooth brown undated pre-republic Peterson Shamrock 263 Canadian with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Off to work now as I listen to Boston Blackie on the XM.

Early 20th century A.D.P economy range ...
("A.D.P is a trademark of Adolph Posener & Co. standing for Adolph David Posener. Brothers Adolph and David Posener were associates until 1877. When David left the partnership, the trademark remained A.D.P. but the hallmark on silver work was A.P. imprint.")
It's also written that the pipes were marketed under the label A.D. Pierson suggesting an anglicisation of Posener in the way of for example Rabinovich sometimes turning into Robinson or Robbins

... and BEST ENGLISH MAKE stamped on the electo-plated army mount + McLintock SYRIAN LATAKIA BLEND:-

@virkia Never heard of Posener clay pipes before.
This redcoat smoked some McLintock Syrian Latakia in his clay pipe; thanks @marconi and @Birddog66. Delicious!
I'll need a 50g pouch of pipe tobacco for a re-enactment weekend!
Need make sure that I don't stuff too much baccy into the clay pipe though!
