Good morning All
A bowl of Sutliff’s Match Blend of 965 in a Northern Briars Premier Zulu. Middle son has tested positive for COVID so we’re in isolation for ten days. The joys ?
Fantastic spell of weather here in the Scottish Borders.
Happy smokes

PC Revelation Match in a straight briar orange saddle stem rusticated billiard with by Jerry Perry. A good medium blend with a not-so-good room note, my wife noticed and I concur. The original Revelation was said to be Albert Einstein's favorite blend, or one of them. I'm not a mathematician, but I do marvel that human mental gymnastics can be predictive in matters of physics and biology. That's a leap that has philosophical power.

Pulled out a couple old reliables this morning -- a Barling pot and Carter Hall. This Barling pot (a King, 6269 for those keeping score at home) is the perfect pipe for me. I prefer pots, it's sandblasted, long, a sitter and I love Barlings, pre-transition or otherwise. Terrific pipe. I've smoked Carter Hall for more than 40 years but I've been experimenting lately, citing the old adage that life is too short to drink cheap beer. But I must say, having returned home, it stands up, and I'll start a rotation with MM 965, although I'll also continue experimenting at times with others.
