An anecdote: I was sitting with my family, Tuesday afternoon, under the gazebo, and lit a bowl of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a MM Country Gentleman. My daughter, who is now in her 40s, looks at me and says, "Wow, that just brought a rush of memories! That's the smell I remember, from when I was a little girl. I would smell your pipe, and come running into the front room, climb onto your lap, curl up, and let you rub my back, as you smoked your pipe."
It's À la recherche du temps perdu, with the aroma of EGR instead of a taste of madeleine.
