Absolutely Beautiful pipe, but kinda hate the name. I guess Canadians are the only ones who think the term is offensive?
Why would it be offensive? The Eskimo shape is a modern interpretation of traditional Eskimo pipes. It’s not meant to be anything but a compliment to their ancient artistry.C0CFCB84-924C-4DB4-B364-0BBDC423AA3B.jpegF3C910E0-C3E1-41BF-9C80-517F32A46EF0.jpeg681EDBE2-5AB5-4B43-A480-CD8794D7F801.jpeg

In Canada the folks who might be referred to as Eskimo prefer the correct term of Inuit. Eskimo can be derogatory, but outside of Canada it seems to be the accepted term. I really do love the shape though.
Some of the Alaskan tribes prefer Inuit as well, but I don’t believe they consider Eskimo to be derogatory. I’m part Cherokee myself, but have never taken offense to the term “Indian”. I kinda take pride in it. Anyone can be offended by anything these days. It’s all in what, and how you choose to let things affect you.
