Home made blend of Dark Burley, Izmir, Latakia and Perique in a straight meer billiard.
This one tastes pretty good already and I just put it together yesterday. I left out any VA intentionally as an experiment.
In this mix, I can taste all the components in a smooth and cool burning chord of tobacco magic.
Very small batch. heh heh..maybe 10 ounces total. 2 kinds of Lat. C&D and McLelland's. Mc's perique, and the rest from C&D.
I noticed the dark burley seemed a little dusty as I broke it up to start things off. It's the driest component of this particular mix. I seem to have put in just enough Perique that it is a very subtle contributor and even though I have 2 flavors of Lat, it does not overwhelm or dominate the flavor. I wonder how this will improve with marination? They usually do improve with time.
