Here's my July 4 regimen: I'm starting with Dunhills 965 in a Britannia Dublin, the later in the

day, I will have a bowl of Granger or Lanes in a Missouri Meerschaum or a Dr. Grabow, to

signify independence. My wife remembered to remind me to get the flag out on the porch,

so we have the colors flying. Instead of the usual suburban householder's flag of about

3' X 5', I have a flag of ship's colors size, about half the usual, that would normally be flown

off the stern in port, or off the main mast under way.
