First smoke of the New Year, Port Guardian for the seventeenth bowl in the Cevik canine meer. Nearly done with the first tin of this stuff, so far so good, quite literally, but I am wondering how much I should put away. It’s probably one of the best I’ve had that you can get your hands on with relative ease these days, but unfortunately I still haven’t made up my mind on it. I’d be bummed it if it went away or changed, and it’s easy as anything to recommend to those who are also Virginia-inclined, so I suppose there’s that. We will see.
@Kingsley That is a magnificent meer! Love the way it is coloring! Re the Port Guardian, when in doubt...get some now! Being a Per Jensen mix, don't. wait.

I've passed the first third of this bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. All the cats are eating now. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Scott, I'll bet it made you sick when your dad's initials lifted off.

Gotta ask you, Paul, if you got any cool comments while out amongst the "unwashed masses" regarding that good lookin' pipe??

Also, wearing that Mets hat, did the Missus ask you to walk behind her by 10-12 ft. and act as though you don't know her?

Bowl nine for the Ali Brandy meer, stuffed full of some OGS from 2014. Phenomenal. Could only hope that if I sat more aside for the same amount of time that it would be as good as it is now. Had some square OGS tins from around 2015, I think, and even then, it didn’t touch this stuff. Maybe just a lucky tin.

Yeah, I wasn't excited. The vulcanite stem was bent about 15 degrees to the side (from decades of being in a box in an attic?). Was able to warm and bend it straight but the effort lifted the imprints immediately. C'est la vie. Now i know better? But I expect I would do it again to remedy that kind of bend... Open to suggestions for a way to bend/straighten vulcanite without putting stampings at risk!
