I love #7! What did you think of it?
Haven’t had enough, jury’s still out.
Didn’t knock my socks off, but not bad. Might grow on me…
Smoke number three with the GH&Co Kendal #7, this time in the Peterson Sportsman 87 (and poor but rare shot of its reverse).

The first two smokes of this blend were in a new J11, which has an 11/16” diameter chamber. It had only had 5Bros and Dark Birdseye smoked through it and only about 5 smokes total.
In that pipe the very faint Lakeland in the Kendal #7 was more prominent and clear (which I did not take as a plus).
In the Pete 87 which has a slightly larger 3/4” chamber, the Lakeland falls into the background and the fuller flavor of the flue and fire cured takes over, with a hint of cigar I didn’t get in the smaller bowl. This is much more to my expectation (and hopes) for the blend.
Amazing what such a small difference in chamber size (8.5% more area from a 1/16” change) makes!
I doubt it will become a mainstay, but I will definitely be keeping the #7 handy-it’s cool to know which pipes to use depending on which experience I’m looking for at any given time.
