The KB&B logo with the ampersand in the clover disappeared in the 1930s, so our gigantic Gutta-percha pipes (I have a smooth bowl) could be from then or earlier.
I believe you’re correct, I said around ‘20 but I don’t believe they were rusticating bowls that early so late 20’s to early 30’s most likely. I’ll have to keep my eyes open for one.

Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I’m thinking of doing the same, there’s a old Norman church near here at Bishopstone and the Yew tree in the graveyard is ancient and has many perfect branches for the making of a traditional English long bow. I’m not sure if my given right as a Englishman to harvest a stave still exists in law but I’m going to politely ask the Vicar and make a donation to the church of course in the hope that I’ll be allowed to cut one. I’ll need to study up on the making of a horn nock and apparently buffalo horn is best but they are available ready made.
@Birddog66 My support worker Jane hasn't had to buy any firewood for months since Dad & I keep getting it for her; she says we've saved her a fortune! Got bought my supper & beer tonight as a thanks for my hard work!

Hey, BGB - I have a Musico question and my mom suggested I ask you.

I've seen "Foundation" "Set" "Set Special" "Floodlight" "Floodlight Special" and combinations of the above stamped on Musico pipes. What does all that gobbledygook mean?

Thanks, and my mom says hi.
Foundation by Musico is the brand. The rest are all grading designations. Grading is dependent upon finish color, grain, and accoutrements like silver, horn, and brindled stems.

And tell your mom to lose my number.

That is good to know. I've seen one smooth bowl version which looks much better than the one I have. I smoke mine regularly considering the size of my sable and it smokes pretty well for my liking. It does tend to collect moisture.
