Now smoking Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite. Working and listening to Ray Charles.

Haunted Bookshop in my Prince Amled. Love this little pipe.

It smelled like Dettol when I got it. My dad used to use Dettol to disinfect my puke bowl when I had the the stomach flu as a kid. I smelled the pipe and gagged when I unboxed it. Isopropyl and salt did wonders. Now it has an obvious Lakeland ghost, which I don't mind terribly. I'm debating designating this a Lakeland pipe and leaving well enough alone, but it's so handy I'll probably just smoke anything in it. Deep chamber and it weighs next to nothing. (18.75 g).

I wish I knew who made this. Nice briar. No fills that I can see. Nice shaping. And it was CHEAP. I'm guessing this is from the 60s. (?)

About 3:30 the morning, Daisy the Feral Princess, Tomato the Brave and Abner the Eager were inside the house out of the chill and the rain. Sleepy Suzy and especially Molly Danger were very unhappy about it. Abner wasn’t thrilled either because Daisy and Tomato were letting him know he’s an invader in their territory. Tomato came inside and out three times in five or six minutes. He just looked around, and I realized that he knew Sam the Scamp was around even if I couldn’t see him. I bought Tomato back in the house, and called for Sam, who was cautious about coming to me. He felt better when he realized he had no competition. I fed him, and while he was eating, all three ferals were at the back door wanting out. I waited until Sam finished eating, scooped him up in my arms, and took him inside. Daisy, Tomato and Abner all ran out of the house, probably to chase Sam away. Sam and I had the last laugh since they didn’t notice I was carrying him when they left. They’ll be back, though. In the meantime, Sam is snoozing’ by my side.

Ye Olde Signe in my birthyear '66 Shell. The YOS takes to this pipe like it was made for it, and I'm really taking to the YOS! It really is quite unlike anything else I've come across.

Never tried this, Scott, so I went shopping. Found a 100gm tin at 4 Noggins for a mere $1365.00. A little over my $1200/tin limit, so for the time being it will go unsampled ~sigh~
