I tell ya what. I'm finished with Winter.
Yesterday was rain, today it's flurries.
I need a more hospitable pipe climate.

Yeah, I know the feeling. Hasn't got above 28F for several days here in "sunny NM". Of course, I live at nearly 8000ft elevation, so that's not unusual. Currently have 6" of snow on the ground, and more expected tomorrow. Last couple days, the wind was blowing 25 mph. Today, sunny and calm. Out on my deck, smoking Shepherd's Pie in a MM cob. Stay warm everyone.

Picked up this '64 104 not long ago with a good looking stummel but a stem so oxidized I wondered if I'd get down to black ebonite before reaching the airway. After an hour and a half labor, I'm rewarding myself with a bowl of Haddo's and a cuppa tea

Very nice! Beautiful shine! Do you finish the stem with a buffing wheel or just micromesh..?

Do not know how old either of these tins are, but I am going to open one. And put In a Danish pipe shop 50th anniversary Danish design pipe. I replaced the original stem with a longer one. Some English breakfast tea to accompany. Still listening to jazz View attachment 278530
@Backwoods Briar I LOVE the tin art on Ye Olde Signe - I think it would suit the King's Clay!
