Trying out my new wind cap, as much for loading and pocketing as for the breeze.
GLP Fillmore in a Lee three star saddle stem pear, would be probably one of my most often used pipes if Lee didn’t put such large bowls on every pipe-I like 20-40 minute smokes…View attachment 277614

If you like the pipe, it catches your eye/attention, I would not give size any considerations, especially in regards to Pipe Time Smoking.

I see this often among the pipe and cigar world;

A certain size delivers this much smoke time...

Rhetorically speaking, why are we sitting around as smokers, looking at the size of our pipes and cigars, to consider how long it will deliver the smoke?

I’m Here To Debunk The Size Time Smoke! LOL 😝

Smoke your pipes and stogies as fast or slow as your like, no matter how big or small.

I guess the problem is, everyone wants to puff puff puff nonstop like a train, also worrying about keeping everything lit.

I get it, I get it, with wanting; A Smoke, or Smoking, also possibly my Hands are tied up, or I just want to smoke and not relight...

The thing is, I too want a smoke, or smoke. Maybe, it’s those who are smoking one dimensional blends, or stogies with not much going on, or they’re filthy rich to puff 30 minutes through a $30 Robusto stogie don’t care, they have money to burn.

Oh yeah, let’s not forget, needing to keep it lit... LOL I guess it’s only the sippers and savoring flavor smoker types that don’t worry about relights, and their smokes last longer.

Hmm keeping them lit, I guess you could say shortens the time. Relight, and sip, and times can be whatever you wish.

Keeping a pipe lit, is only a so called convenience of not needing to constantly take this step, that many perceive as an act that needs to be followed, as something has gone wrong, or it’s simply a pain to continually do.

Remember, constant heat and fire, also destroy complexity. ;)

Enjoy whatever size you like. Find enjoyment and time too in the act of relighting it. ❤️

I’m also sharing this for everyone, not solely directed at Sobrbiker. :)

P.S. I’ll copy and paste this for future myth debunking on size, time and relights. LOL 😝

Heading out to the Smoky Hideout with one of my favourite tobaccos, Union Square. Excited to try this newly restored bulldog with a 12k gold band, stamped ‘Guild Master’ on the one side and ‘Algerian Briar’ over ‘France’ on the other. I can’t find much about it online, but whomever the Guild Masters are, this is an exceptionally well made pipe and one I’m keeping.
