Good day all! Flu'ed. Stumbling around and finally dragged my sorry butt to the smoking room and put fire to a bowl of 4th Generation Family Reserve in a trusty Savinelli Autograph straight-grain Dublin half-bent with saddle stem. Delicious. Now back to bed with pipe dreams (and aspirin).

About half way through this bowl from a freshly opened tin of year 2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Watching Mad Dog Russo.

Second voyage for the Doug Finlay @doug535 bent Dublin. I thought I’d try some Peterson Sweet Killarney (hey, I like it, lol) but it was way, way too dry and I dumped the bowl. Decided to go to a straight Va and grabbed a newly received pouch of KBV Mr C’s Stoved and Red - oops, it’s an aro, but too lazy to go down to the “cellar” in the “cellar”. About 15 minutes in and this is a really good blend - I’m liking the creamy notes with the Virginias in this. Just looked up @JimInks review and will just say I wouldn’t claim to be able to ferret out all the nuances, but I get where it is coming from and no veteran here, but approached quietly and calmly I could see this as at least an all afternoon blend for me. Nice. E3C9D02C-B881-41F5-85EB-F9AEBCCDC6D7.jpeg

Here that’s target practice! In my neighborhood they live in the storm sewers and if seen in the daytime are stumbling about in a not so good way - I’ve had to modify my feeders to keep them out and the healthy night dwellers are welcome to feast on whatever they find elsewhere. Years ago my wife’s wonderful but too early departed mother had issues with raccoons being attracted to remains of grease, etc. the f-in-law was too lazy to clean up around their grill. She put out a healthy portion of hot red pepper flakes and awoke to sight and sounds of a mama and little ones screaming their little heads off! Of course, she felt guilty and never did it again, but this pic reminds me of her and that fun story!

Already did the research and talked to the local wildlife people, in this area there is a fairly large population so when they find a spot with food (or people that feed them regularly) it's not unusual at all for them to come out during the day to eat, they are actually out at all hours even though you tend to see them more at night because they feel safer. I'd be crushed if one of these little guys got rabies and had to be put down, that being said i do keep an eye on this one and his health and behavior.
