Semois thick cut in a Rossi smooth Palermo yacht (8404). I've always liked the 404 shape in Savinelli, and this is the same, in a smooth pipe with a deep red stain. You know if the Italians name a pipe after a Sicilian city, it has got to be a serious pipe. I like it for the compactness, balance, ample bowl, and oval shank. I have family whose mother was Sicilian, who took his daughter there for a high school graduation gift to meet the family. The biological family I mean.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, rainbow trout and sugar snap peas dinner with sliced strawberries over a half a chocolate muffin. M'lady ate the other half. I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2001 VaPer Three Nuns in a 1938 straight black grain relief Dunhill OX Shell bulldog with a silver band repair with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching Hollywood Hotel starring Dick Powell.
