Trying out the Dr. Grabow Grand Duke I got with a pipe stand from a antique store a month or so ago and I sanitized it, sanded it down to bare wood inside and out and oil stained it.
Smoking Capstan Blue flake for its first run!

I have a few Royal Danish pipes. They are great smokers and I feel like they are one of the better value for dollar pipes on the estate market.

After seeing so many post about Stanwell pipes I had to get a Danish. It was a great smoke. I'm so glad I was able to find this forum.

After seeing so many post about Stanwell pipes I had to get a Danish. It was a great smoke. I'm so glad I was able to find this forum.

What I love about Stanwell is that you can find some excellent vintage pipes designed by some of the greatest pipemakers…. at decent prices.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, wild caught catfish and snow peas dinner with a small slice of Collins Street Bakery fruit cake for dessert. It's the only good fruit cake I have ever eaten. I'm not far from finishing this bowl of Motzek (TAK) Virginia Cake in an undated straight black sandblasted Kevin Arthur brandy with a multi-colored accent on the white acrylic saddle stem. This pipe was originally owned by Sante “FishnBanjo” Giuliani. Have enough left for a bowl or so. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

What I love about Stanwell is that you can find some excellent vintage pipes designed by some of the greatest pipemakers…. at decent prices.

It usually takes a few smokes after I clean and sanitize an estate pipe until it comes into its own. This one smoked really well the first time out. I've gained a lot of knowledge since getting involved here.

Now smoking year 2014 Sutliff 1849 in a medium bend smooth dark brown 1968 Barling 5631 London England TVF billiard silver spigot with a tapered black vulcanite stem. I can tell perique is 25% of the mix.
