Earlier in this thread, someone asked if rope cut pipe tobacco could be smoked like a cigar. Maybe this has already been answered, but I just thought I'd add my comment. The answer is no. A cigar is a handcrafted (or machine approximated) structure specifically designed to draw well and evenly. Rope tobacco is simply twisted. There is no way to draw through it. When you have dealt with both rope pipe tobacco and cigars, this is obvious. But if you are only going by appearance, it might be deceiving.
