Enjoyed a tasty jazz apple, and am smoking Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson Ebony POTY 4AB No. 422/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Yesterday's Wilke 515 in the 4AB was interesting. The rum flavouring seemed a little odd at first (a weird bite at the back of my nose), but as I got further into the bowl, things melded nicely and I enjoyed it. It was a relaxing 2+ hour smoke (I love the deep chamber of the 4AB!) and Morrison Jeremiah will be happy to know that I didn't dump ash and it smoked all the way through (I really find dumping or not dumping ash varies with the blend and cut). Anyway, I had the presence of mind to prepare today's tobacco last night and cube cut some SG FVF to let dry all through the night and all day today. About to light that up in a Stanwell Authentic Raw 95 Pot.

Had my first taste of Hamborger Veermaster toda. Two bowls so far. I'm neither greatly enthused nor deterred. A couple of weeks' rest then I will revisit. Very much enjoyed a bowl of Brown Clunee though. Preparing a goodnight smoke of Amphora English in my Rossi 8320.
The HV really needs a few years of aging to come into its own. At least, that's how it works for me.
