Drizzle and overcast, cold too. Perfect weather for a Stanwell Rook filled with Samarra. A day to relax, stay warm and enjoy my pipe. Probably read and listen to some classic jazz. I will crack open a present of Honey Jack Daniels and add it to a cup of steaming tea. Learned about it from Dino. Enjoy the day !

The 80 is the same shape as the Sherlock series squire. So it’s bigger/thicker.

the “s” at the end is saddle stem. An XL81 with no S would have a taper stem.

Thanks again. This pipe has a large stummel but a very modest tobacco chamber. At the widest point the walls are 5/8" thick. I wasn't sure if XL was indicating it's Tobacco capacity.

What would you rate the Nic on the Vanilla Roll Cake? The smell from the tin is absolutely wonderful, but I made a perchase based on JimInks review on TR. Jim said that the nic hit was “a step past medium” and I couldn’t feel it at all. I’m usually on par with his nicotine ratings but with this one I felt the nicotine was very mild. I’ve been mixing a few coins of G&H Brown Irish Twist for a boost in the Vitamin N

I haven’t noticed any nic-hit on the roll cake. I’ve only had 3 bowls so far. But I usually don’t notice nicotine unless it’s strong like the Irish flake Or 10 Russians.

Nope in Peterson’s case it means a larger stummel
