I'm right handed. The brown area is where the stamping is, and why they didn't color it black has always been a mystery to me.JIm-
Gorgeous pipe!
Is the brown area just worn from handling? I forget, are you a leftie?

This is really good feedback. I really like the look of their stout bulldogs and had never heard any comments about the quality of these smokers.Nice! I have a few and really can appreciate the quality of them. Enjoy your new pipe!
Thanks! I’m a fan of smaller pipes, not always but often. These little pipes are excellent for the money and I won’t hesitate to buy more in the future, In fact I plan on it. Well, it only took about 30 seconds after reading this to go order a pipe. I was able to grab a really nice squat dog with a horn stem for a more than reasonable price. Thank for the enablement, LolThanks! I’m a fan of smaller pipes, not always but often. In the Etudiant line, Ropp presents pipes that are fashioned from old-stock stummels sourced from the Chapuis-Comoy factory — like the French marque's Vintage, Vintage Stout, Vintage Superior, and Algerian Superior series. Etudiant pipes are designed to be lightweight, workhorse smokers, perfect for beginning and veteran pipe smokers alike, and offered at an attractive, budget-friendly price point. Paired to a jet-black, vulcanite stem, this particular one wears a smooth auburn stain, fitting into Ropp's penchant for classic shapes and finishes.
