If you like the blend, but have trouble smoking it, I believe Dark Flake and Dark Plug are the same tobaccos in different cuts. I prefer the flake, but all three are excellent. So far, I’m really enjoying it. But I have an issue keeping fine shag cut tobacco lit. I’m sure I’ll figure it out though.
8105. Had to look up the invoice as it’s not printed on the briar. I enjoy it. Nice little pipe for the money. What number is that Rossi? Seems a very reasonably proportioned billiard for an Italian pipe
Thanks! At first blush this blend seems musty and olde tymee...and I like that. And it does have some potent nic...and I like that too.If you like the blend, but have trouble smoking it, I believe Dark Flake and Dark Plug are the same tobaccos in different cuts. I prefer the flake, but all three are excellent.
Nice one ?The long arm of this forum stretching a fifth of the way around the world capturing two images taken at roughly the same time

That's funny, I've got the total opposite situation regarding that blend. Revelation Match is the only blend my teenage son has said anything positive about regarding room note, and he otherwise never has anything positive to say about my pipe smoking. My wife complained that the room note on this blend was "stale," and since she rarely complains about pipe tobacco smoke, that's worth noting.
