Did some snacking, and am a third of the way through this bowl of Wilke Lizzie Blood Virginia in a straight black with burgundy undertone sandblasted 1960s Lane era Charatan 420 billiard with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Up early and smoking a bowl of Condor Plug in one of the 'foot long' meerschaum pipes. I have to say as pipes go these meerschaum copies of a Victorian Church Warden pipe are an absolutely unwieldily and very impractical for anything type of pipe unless you wish to sit in a chair and read a book. I believe they were modeled after the 'London Straw' style of clay pipe which when the stem broke became the average 5 1/2 " 'cutty' pipe. I have about a dozen of these pipes having sold off quite a few to a gentleman in Austria a several years ago and I am starting to remember the reason why I parted with them so easily!

My Chicago buds and I had a fun ZOOM last evening, at which I smoked Drucquer's Royal Ransom from 1980, in a smooth, saddle stemmed, apple GBD XTRA 335 from the 30s (?).
My tipple was a dram of Jack Daniel's Single Barrel, Barrel Proof (135°), neat, with a side of water and bergs.

Enjoyed a tasty Jazz apple, and now smoking Wilke No. 1 in a 2003 URAL full bend big bowl egg shaped Lattice meer with a black acrylic saddle stem. Have enough left for one more bowl. I'll probably finish the day with this smoke.

Good day, all! Friday morning smoke is Wilke 8th Street in a large, lattice meerschaum crafted by F, Baki. As a teenager in the late 60’s, I used to take the bus from Northern NJ to NYC, then a subway to the Village, and a walk to the 8th Street Smoke Shop for a half pound of 8th Street tobacco. I liked it then, and I like it now.
