Sutliff RR(Edgeworth match) dried a bit to subdue the choco. Smoked in an old MM Legend. Seltzer with bergs. The burley in this blend is good if not overpowered by the casing.

Just popped a 2018 tin of Acadian Perique. Smoking it in the Volkan Rusticated Rhodesian. Coffee and Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers get the day rolling.
London Burley in a Rinaldo Skipper. Rainy but mild day, glad to be back smoking on the covered deck. Winter garage smoking just misses something on the experience ?
Having just watched an episode of Columbo - the very first pilot episode "Prescription: Murder" as it happens - something the lieutenant said struck me as odd,
"I hope you don't mind if I light my cigar. Most women don't like cigars. My wife prefers a pipe, but I could never get used to those things. Too much to carry around with you."

Doesn't seem to me a good reason as carrying a pipe with accessories is no more "too much to carry around" than a cigar with accessories
For example:-

About a quarter of a bowl left of C&D Burley Ribbon Cut in a 1970s slight bend black sandblasted Comoy's Silver Cloud 624 square shank sitter with a silver pearl gray acrylic saddle stem.
Mixture 79 in a legend cob. Took BROBS suggestion and dried it out for a few days. Much better.

Black XX in a Jody Davis bulldog, with black coffee. Very good stuff!
Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am now smoking year 2015 Sir Walter Raleigh in a 1947-49 Made in Ireland Peterson Dublin 3 straight smooth dark brown bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
Some Carter and burley morning in a pocket pipe , some strong Italian coffee, slept in ..nice way to start the day. Some Jazz piano, David Benoit.C&D Three Friars in Carey Magic Inch blasted Featherlight apple with an unusual nylon cumberland stem. More seltzer and bergs.
First smoke today was Carter Hall in a J.T. Cooke Poker.
