Smoking some Grasmere in my smallest chamber, a Grabow Duke with the filter in. It doesn't seem to irritate my throat even though I have a cold, so that's a plus.

I have the Captain ( Black that is ) in my Cup O Joe's basket pipe. I'm trying to struggle through this pouch for the purposes of art and science.. but it seems like there is no light at the end of this goopy vanilla tunnel. Black coffee is my beverage.
I tried the same once.. for science sake. I didn't mind the taste or smell, but once it started biting it didn't let go, like a pitbull or a snapping turtle. One puff and I'd be like, "oh hell naw". I finally dumped the rest into a mix of the driest tobacco I had, D&R Balkan. It made it consumable, but just barely.

Captain Black...a rite of passage!?
It seems to have its moments, sometimes it's pretty ok. Other times it feels somewhat like a chore to finish the bowl. It's the only thing that has given me tounge bite in a while. It all hits me as soon as I brush my teeth, that'll make your eyes water.
