I'm smoking Old Dark Fired in a smooth briar calabash shape 1984 Fero Danese made in Italy. Going to jar some tobacco now. Ice tea chilled to the proper temperature with floaty li'l icebergs is my drink.

I have Sillem's Black burning in one of my meers, a smooth bent acorn that I usually smoke aros in. It has my entire nasal system numb with pleasure! I smoked my first bowl of Sillem's Black a week ago and hated it. After letting it sit out for a couple of days, it has quickly ascended to the top of my current choices. This smoke has it all!

1957 meer and it's not browning? Is it Turkish?
I bought the bent smooth acorn in mid December and it is well on its way to a beautiful patina finish.

saint007, the blend I'm smoking is 1957, not the meer. The meer is a SMS pipe, well known for their Turkish meer block pipes. I thought it would've turned by now but I wonder if the lattice takes longer to turn as there is space between the bowl and the outer lattice work.

Now smoking Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 1982 black sandblasted paneled slight bend Savinelli flat bottom sitter. Got the tobacco jarring done. Now, back to other things.
Spring training games are being broadcast on MLB TV. And lucky viewers like me are listening to the great Vin Scully call the Dodgers-D-Backs game! Life, fellow pipers, as it should be has returned!!!

Now smoking Jim's Working Blend in a slight bent 1970's Caminetto 103 Business KS billiard with a fumed rim. Having a great evening phone chatting with an old friend.
