I will say with full certainty, my wife directed the purchase knowing my style . Appreciate the gift regardless and it gives me a pipe attached to their generosity.


Currently enjoying a bowl with my father-in-law. I’ve got some EMP in a Stublin and he’s got some Captain Black Gold in the EMC Bent Bulldog we gave him for Christmas.

Christmas Eve: after church and opening gifts, I enjoyed some Carolina Christmas in a Peterson Tyrone, courtesy of @TubbyInTweed, while watching the sky. Then it got too cold to sit outside, so I moved to my smoking tent, fired up the propane heater, and smoked some Kendal No.7 while watching the sky.



Today I spent the day preparing Christmas dinner and enjoying time with my wife and son before sneaking away for a Cohiba.

Such a beautiful, calm evening, still mid-70s @ nearly 7 pm. (It's a Christmas miracle!)

Peretti Dutch Chocolate with a splash of cigar leaf in the Country Gentleman. The cigar leaf really lifts the Dutch.

H-E-B Café Olé Moka Java, cream/no sugar. Tried a new Aeropress "recipe" and it came out fantastic.

Just finished smoking year 2022 Solani 633 in a straight smooth brown Algerian briar post-WW2-mid 50s family era Barling’s Make Ye Olde Wood Straight Grain Made in England bulldog with a diamond shape shank and black ebonite stem. This pipe came from the estate of David Cuneo.

Refilled the Country Gentleman with the same Dutch Chocolate/cigar leaf mix. First time I'm doing a literal back-to-back in the same pipe, and the cob is handling it like a champ.
