Finally getting around to smoking year 2021 unreleased Sutliff Black Virginia Flake in a late 80's, early 90s James Upshall P DS Tilshead England Made By Hand L185 Canadian with a silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Tomato the Brave was in hyper mode after he ate. We played catch the catnip balls and chase the rope for a while. Every time I stopped playing, he went to the door as if to go out. Every time I got out of my chair, he ran to the Puma box and stared at me. He was telling me that he wanted to play, not go out. At one point, he grabbed the rope with his teeth and ran off to the kitchen with it. I've never seen him do that before. Then, he grabbed the rope with his teeth and dragged it down the hall way and back. Finally, I grabbed the rope and made him chase and fight it until he wore out. That's when he was ready to go out.

In the meantime, Molly Danger and Daisy the Feral Princess were staring at Tomato making a fool of himself. Molly was jealous about it, and right now, she's staring at the box and rope. I'll make her happy and give her some play time. Sleepy Suzy snoozed through the entire thing.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2020 C&D Virginia Flake in a straight medium brown 1922-1937 Irish Free State era Peterson 222 bullcap with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. I'll end the end with this smoke. The ferals came in, ate and left.

Couldn't sleep, so I got up, fed the ferals, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of Sutliff Cringle Flake (Holiday Edition 2024) in a black straight, grain etched family era post WW2 Four Dot Sasieni “Appleby” apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Put dry food and fresh down outside, too. Watching the Jack the Ripper episode of The UnXplained hosted by William Shatner.

Just finished a bowl of Rattray's Marlin Flake in my Larsen billiard. Of my three WO Larsen "Rustica" models, it's the only one that has the Larsen Copenhagen markings. Although it isn't really a collector as it has a replacement saddle bit, (and the Rustica line wasn't a high end line for WO Larsen), I think they are the coolest looking pipes I own. They smoke well (though the brandy tends to want to gurgle unless I use pipestones). View attachment 440328Good looking pipes.

Jim, I never grow tired of the cat stories. Tomato the Brave should have his own TV series.
