Couldn't sleep, so I'm up and am half way through this bowl of year 2018 D&R Windsail in a 2018 full bend smooth natural Peterson Sherlock Holmes Lestrade with a silver band and a black vulcanite saddle p-lip stem. It was supposed to snow this morning, but as usual our local "In-accuweather" channel was wrong. They claim they've won an award of having the most accurate forecasts of any city in the Triad for 11 straight years. I claim sheep fly south for the winter, too, and I was only right about that once.

Half way through this bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed everybody except for the absent Tomato the Brave. Got a late start to the day as I never heard the alarm go off.

Today is my wife's birthday. She's currently sitting in the chair at our local tattoo shop, getting a new piece on her foot.

I'm sitting outside in my camp chair with some Horizons in a new Anse from Eric Mills and a good book on my kindle. I'll be back in there with her shortly.

With my in-laws handling the kiddos, I'm also taking her to see Allen Stone and Ripe at Minglewood Hall this evening. Couldn't pass that up with them playing on her birthday.

I don't generally smoke in the middle of the day except for weekends. On work days (Mo-Th), I'm generally too busy and I only take 30 minutes for lunch, which is enough time to eat, but not much else.

It's one reason why I enjoy my Fridays so much-- run errands in the morning, take it easy in the afternoon, and in the evening it's either a gig somewhere, or quality time with the Wife.

Continuing the dig into my cellar, my post-lunch smoke for the day is one of my very favorite pairings--

McClelland 2030 Balkan in a Sasieni 4-Dot Ruff Root. Although this is a later-era "4-Dot" and not a classic Family-era "Four-Dot", It's still a really, really great pipe that I have bench-trained for English and Balkan Blends exclusively.
