Hey Paul, I saw a cool quiz online on your avatar, Edgar A. Poe. Since you are the re-incarnation of Mr. Poe, this should be a snap for you. Fun, too....

Enjoy..

G'morning - well, afternoon now in PG. Shown is my morning smoke, and my upcoming afternoon smoke. MM Minicob and Mr. Brog #94 Nosewarmer, all loaded and ready to go. Smoked cob first, of course.

Tobacco: Sutliff Pure Latakia.

Reason: tongue bite
from breaking in another new toy. Future puffing endeavors over the next two days or so might just be chew and no smoking. Seems I never learn. Will show new toy at appropriate time. Yeah, I know. I'll find sympathy in the dictionary between s..t and syphillis.

Went to the shorty MM rather than my usual longer stemmed mincobs. Since I learned how to smoke the nosewarmers, I really like the short pipes. Gave all but two of the longer MM ones away to newbie friends. Good cause.

Will show new toy at appropriate time. About to enjoy (?) the latakia with a cup of cold coffee. No burley for a bit, yet . . . . .

Over and out.

Thanks @Choatecav,
I aced all of those whew 😰 and was kinda worried how I would do but thoroughly enjoyed it!

Edgar Allan Poe lived in my County for part of his childhood with his foster parents, John and Frances Allan about 1 mile from my home and a few addresses down on the same road.

When I lived in Richmond I lived in an area between “Tobacco Row “ and the Old Stone House now the Poe Museum and also near Poe’s actual address when he lived in Richmond.

I was previously stationed at Ft. Monroe Ft. Eustis and Ft. Story in the Tidewater and Virginia Beach areas of Virginia and Edgar Allan Poe was stationed at Fort Monroe in Virginia as a soldier under the alias Edgar A. Perry from December 1828 to April 1829 before being transferred to West Point.

Here in Richmond there is always a Poe connection nearby and it’s almost like the 6 Degrees of Separation Game with Kevin Bacon 😂

I suppose every city has one character propped up for bragging rights and he’s one of many of ours along with Bill “Bojangles” Robinson, Arthur Ashe, Warren Beatty and besides I couldn’t really use Aimee Mann or Shirley MacLaine🤷‍♂️ so Poe only seemed a fitting Avatar.

Near the last third of this bowl of year 2014 Esoterica Tilbury in a straight smooth Danish gold straight grain undated W.O. Larsen Hand Made in Denmark dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Norton the Nosey has recovered well from being neutered. My friend John is just sitting around watching him.

Excellent review - I'm kinda entering the level where all of this makes sense. I've a long ways to go yet, but thanks for this! :) I especially appreciated the comment that the Virginia nicotine content was around 2/5. Useful for those of us who track Vitamin N.
Thank you,🤝 my friend. That's why we're here, to share opinions and experiences🙂

I knew you would "knock it out of the park." Poe really cast a broad shadow in the world of horror writing. I still read his books again and again. Glad you liked it.
