Just finished smoking year 2014 Esoterica Tilbury in a straight smooth Danish gold straight grain undated W.O. Larsen Hand Made in Denmark dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Just posted my review of the upcoming C&D Fires in the Levee Flake (Small Batch) on this forum. All the ferals are in out of the cold and harsh wind., and are snoozin'.

Wow, Some really beautiful pairings posted today!

Makes me almost ashamed to post mine, as it's not something I smoke very often. 😉

I seldom venture into full-blown aromatic territory, but once in a blue moon I will crave a flavored smoke of some sort. I keep a few aromatics on hand for just such an occasion, which happens to be today.

So for me right now, I'm smoking C&D Autumn Evening (bulk) in a Belgian-crafted 1960's Bowling Ball -- Hilson Fantasia 53/S.
While the Fantasia series has been maligned over the years, I actually find them to be perfect for aromatics, as the meerschaum-bowl lining was actually cut from block, and not crafted from compressed meerschaum dust. After approximately 55-60 years, this one has held up quite nicely. And fortunately, since I only smoke aromatics in it, I don't have to worry about ghosting the pipe terribly.

Besides, I think the Fantasia series pipes were much snazzier than "The Pipe", and they smoke better too.

It does sort of look like a bowling ball, doesn't it? It's pretty incredible what one can craft with phenolic resin compounds. 😆
