Enjoyed a short snooze with Sleepy Suzy on my lap, and am now smoking and reviewing C&D Fires in the Levee Flake (Small Batch) in a 1986 three quarter bend Bacchus face CAO meer with a tapered dark tortoise shell colored acrylic stem. M'lady's feeding Tomato the Brave.

Getting ready to watch the final UFC event of 2025, UFC on ESPN: Brandon Royval vs. Manel Kape, also known as UFC on ESPN 73 and UFC Vegas 112, taking place at the UFC Apex in Enterprise, Nevada. It’s also the last event on ESPN before broadcasts get switched to Paramount+ in 2026. Going to have Cornell & Diehl Palmetto Balkan Small Batch (1879/3000) in a French Delacour Magnum Billiard with a dark, natural, horn stem. The Delacour factory was built in 1893 in Saint-Claude, France, and closed around 1960–1962; they also had a London, England factory that was destroyed by fire in 1935. This pipe is pretty big, about 10.375" in length, with a 1.0" wide x 2.25" deep chamber. The smoking time ends up not being as long as I like because Palmetto Balkan is riboon-like and doesn’t burn as slowly as something like Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding. I’ll probably need to reload the pipe at least once during the next six or seven hours of watching fight coverage.

I cannot now imagine a world in which I will ever catch up on all of the pages and pages of WAYS, however I will do my best, and I have sorely missed this fine thread during the traveling and the overtime that have kept me away. We’re almost over the finish line, folks. Lately I have been stuffing nubs into this cob, and I have also been enjoying some 2012 McCranie’s red flakeIMG_1559.jpeg

I see from the thread postings since yesterday, that I'm not the only person who likes to rock cobs on the weekends.

Knockabout pipe for a knockabout day of errands, honey-do's and a bit of pipe maintenance this afternoon.
