Taking a break from my usual dark fired heavy hitters and pure Virginias to try some Lane 1-Q this morning, in a Savinelli 401 Churchwarden.

Since 1-Q is consistently the best selling blend on SmokingPipes, I feel the need to revisit it now and then to see what all the fuss is about. I can definitely see why people like it, since it's very smooth and has a pleasant enough creamy sweet flavor that isn't quite vanilla but is very unique and distinctive, and a room note that seems like it would be a real crowd pleaser.

Really the only major complaint I could make about it is the total absence of any nicotine, which to me kind of defeats the purpose of smoking tobacco. I suppose the act of smoking can be relaxing and enjoyable even without the nicotine, and if you wanted something very similar to 1-Q but with a bit of Vitamin N then it's easy enough to pick up a pouch of Captain Black Original.puffy

A third of a bowl left of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. All the cats are fed. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
