Fed Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave, and let them out. Dunno why they want to be outside when it's chilly and raining, but they do that on occasion.
@JimInks It's the Feline Professional Accepted Code Of Practice: like begging to be let in (or out) and then dithering on the doorstep, puking on the most vulnerable, difficult-to-clean fabrics, suddenly developing a distaste for their favourite food just as soon as you decide to buy it in bulk, singing you The Song Of Their People at 4AM for no observable reason, stealing one of your socks, etc. Their ancient, godlike reputation is built on such demonstrations of inscrutability and maintained by strict adherence to these rules. Since cats maintain only an oral tradition for reasons of secrecy, there's am awful lot about them we lesser beings will never fathom.
