My niece and nephew still get physical gifts but my family agreed to donate in each others names to various causes because we have more than enough crap! 😂 Others are without, so in the spirit of giving, that we should really have every day, this feels right. Happy Holidays, whatever you celebrate or not. 😂

I did the same, my family has more than enough useless crap so I donated to a dozen animal charities and for children with disabilities too. I certainly don’t need any more stuff I don’t have space for and asked everyone to give to animal charities instead.

Merry Christmas! First bowl of the day is some JackKnife Plug! I got the rest processed and in a jar.
@Tate Look forward to seeing your new clay when you get it; hope you don't break this one! Going to take my churchwarden to Nantwich; hope I don't break it this time...
The Vikings / Redcoats blacksmith says he likes my churchwarden, he'd have to come a bit closer to light it if I broke the stem:)

@Birddog66 I don't like having 'excess baggage' and I'm taking part in "Buy Nothing New Month" with Keep Britain Tidy in January. I'm going to have a clear-out / clean-up after Christmas / New Year as well.

A seasonal picture:
The Christmas tree is made from clay pipe stems found in the River Thames; the top one looks like a Civil War 17th century pipe.

Merry Christmas everyone, I’m having a very quiet Christmas with just the cats and WeeBay for company which is just how I like it. I find myself becoming more reclusive as time goes by and being happy in my own company that’s alright with me. I hope everyone is as happy as I am today and in good company, their own or with others.

I made a nice roast leg of lamb withimage.jpg roast potatoes, parsnips, chestnut stuffing and veggies which turned out to be one of the best roasts I’ve made, especially the stuffing.

I’m relaxing after dinner with a Ducados cigarette (thank you John72 my friend), a damn good Pinot Noir and listening to Patti Smith. I’ll be blasting my music all night as the neighbors are away and I can raise my beautiful, angelic voice to my hearts content.

May the spirit of the day find you all content and appreciating the little things that make life bearable.
