Just finished some Golden Days in this 1906 H&J meer which has a beautiful patina.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2012 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Have five Charatans left to smoke. Sam the Scamp was on my lap and was super cute. I'll post a few pics after I download them.

I worked hard on the report but belatedly realized that in the pipe section of the review I had neglected to include the obligatory mention of the forward momentum of the composition, without which, based on my reading, no pipe description is complete. In fact I, for one, will not smoke a pipe that exhibits backward momentum.

"Surging urgency" has a nice ring to it, dontchathink?
