While I was having my last smoke, the mail came with a 1964 Dunhill shape 104 oval shank billiard and some 2023 C&D Anthology tobacco; nothing for it but to put the latter in the former and light up. Here's my expert detailed report.
The pipe: when I suck on the black rubber end, smoke comes through, so near as I can tell it works fine.
The tobacco: a lot of shiny gold on the tin label, which is a sure sign of quality. Had no trouble lighting it up and it tastes a lot like a lot of other tobacco I have, which suits me since the other tobacco I have tastes good.
There you have it - my pleasure.

Regarding Marxman Pipes. If you purchase one, try to get one that was lightly smoked and be very particular about the looks. My Benchmade is a cool looking pipe, but I am partial to my 400s. Not all Marxman Pipes were treated equally and neither are they in terms of looks as well. Lastly, be sure to clean it well. That Algeria Briar is like a sponge. It really is, but you can remove the yuk easily as it doesn't go too deep. Good luck. They are fun pipes.

Thanks! I worked hard on the report but belatedly realized that in the pipe section of the review I had neglected to include the obligatory mention of the forward momentum of the composition, without which, based on my reading, no pipe description is complete. In fact I, for one, will not smoke a pipe that exhibits backward momentum.

I think Peterson should take some cues from this, the colors are much better for the season.
I admit I spent the last few minutes looking for one to purchase, although the 9mm might deter me, but all locations I saw were sold out anyway.

Just finished a mix of Amphora Virginia and C&D Virginia Flake in a cob. It was not bad, the ghost of many previous bowls of OGS was present. 
Fribourg & Treyer Cut Virginia plug in an EE2 "OliveCob" pipe. On the side, in the mug, a hot, fruity drink with spices, in other words an imitation/substitute/non alcoholic version of the well known Christmas wine that is a custom to drink in northern countries these days.

Not far from finishing this bowl of year 2020 Mac Baren Scottish Mixture in a straight, smooth brown 1960s Lane era Charatan Special 38 bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem.
Shandygaff in a Peterson Deluxe System 11FB.
Merry monk in a Cavicchi bamboo brandy. This blend bone dry is pretty good. Out of a fresh tin it tasted like a mildewy basement to me.
Sutliff 515 Red Virginia in a big old Don Carlos.
