My cart is always full so I just take a bite out of it when I can. More Exclusive, Capt. Earles Ten Russians, Jamaican Flake, Bobs Chocolate Flake and Capt. Earle’s Night-watch.
How your week going man?
Weeks going pretty well! December is always a heavy month at work but the preparation is coming through! How about you buddy?

Bored to ☠️ but hanging in there with the terrible weather. At least we haven’t gotten any snow like you folks up there but it’s been cold and wet. Good day for some Ten Russians once it arrives.

Dang! Our snow melted pretty quick just chilly and yet for now. I'm hoping this mildness doesn't mean we get hammered later lol I'll be ready though! The wife got me a garage heater as one of the Christmas gifts. I only know because they shipped it in the original packaging 🤣

@HRPufnstuf Love your new pipe! Did you put the leather banding on the stem?
Hey, HalfDan! I thought I'd hear from you. I did the modifications myself.

Modelling enamel, two coats for the stem. Each coat cured for four hours at 200F in the oven with a day rest between coats.

The shank wrapping is actually grey cotton cord, macrame cord (size 5). The wrapping knot is called a French Whip. I used it rather than a Common Whip because it lays the locking bights of the knot in a spiral around the object providing a raised line for better grip. It was a knot often used for tool and weapon handles. That took me about 90minutes.

I am pleased you like it, thank-you.

Did a set of walking reps on this chilly, windy, sunny day, and am close to finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Lunch follows this smoke.

@HRPufnstuf Many thanks; how is your new pipe?
I'm keeping the clay pipe / Gawith tradition going with some Curly Cut in a clay. Gawith tobacco is VERY well suited to clay pipes!

@Tate All the snow gone here but cold & clear now. Need a good warming blast of clay pipe smoke in this cold weather!

Enjoyed a tasty tall stack of cinnamon raisin French toast with a big golden delicious apple and unsalted peanuts on the side. I'm nearing the half way mark on this bowl of Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a straight smooth brown 1950s Comoy’s Tradition 305 apple military mount with a sterling silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Going to have an all Comoy's day and night. Gold Star Jamaican Blue Mountain, neat, is my drink.

Well, I did decide to bust into that C&D CCP. Tin note was heavy heavy heavy on the hot chocolate smell, luckily that doesn't translate to how t tastes (I hate chocolate, cocoa is just OK). The marshmallow comes through a lot more in the smoke and is a little more than the hot chocolate taste, both of which are subtle.

It's all right. While not bad, I'm not going to be reaching for it very often either. High marks on the job of being "ready rubbed" though, that aspect is done perfectly. Who knows, maybe it will grown on me a little more.
