Man does that bring me back - I used to shoot a lot. I miss the days of film. There was something about developing and printing. The whole process was wonderful. Now it is instant gratification.
I'm not good at it, but I love it too. Have a darkroom in my basement that I mess around in from time to time, purely as a hobby.

I like it for the same reasons as the pipe, let's me slow down and be methodical about what I'm doing in the moment, and it gets me away from screens (big or small).

Enjoyed a ten slice stack of cinnamon raisin French toast with a sliced golden delicious apple and unsalted peanuts on the side. I'm closing in on the last third of this bowl of year 2014 Sutliff 1849 in a medium bend smooth dark brown 1968 Barling 5631 London England TVF billiard silver spigot with a tapered black vulcanite stem. King David Coffee Fog Lifter, neat, is my drink. Been watching the That's Entertainment series on TCM.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of D&R Penhooker Silver in a straight smooth dark brown late 1890s, early 1900s WDC bulldog with silver bands around the ridges, a decorative sterling silver band and tapered black vulcanite stem with an orific bit.

There was an unusual sighting near the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville earlier today - it was an omen!! So a Red Auerbach victory “pipe”!

This pipe has never seen anything but Wilke No. 515, but it smokes so well and looks like it was made for a flake, so I’m presently enjoying McClelland Navy Cavendish in my 44/500 Peterson 2021 POY Heritage 4AB. Making up for my slight of Basil Rathbone by catching up on neglected reading!

Just finishing this bowl of BW Back Down South in the Bones Skinny Paul. Took a slow walk around the neighborhood to complete a roll of Kodak Tri-X in my grandpa's Pentax K1000. Thinking about some new photo projects for next year. Perfect pipe for smoking while wielding a camera.

Happy New Year everyone!
Love it! With our first born, I picked up a basic Minolta SLR in 1992 and learned a lot with that camera as our kids grew up, but eventually succumbed to digital.

As Will Danaher said, “God bless all in this house!”
