Did some snacking, and smoked a bowl of Wilke No. 24 in a smooth straight brown 1949 Yello-Bole Century Model Lovat with a nickel band accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem.

Now smoking Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite.

Just finished work, and this bowl of Watch City Queequeg’s Moby Dick Series in a straight brown sandblasted post-WWII family era Sasieni “Canadian” London Made with a sterling silver band with a tapered black vulcanite twin bore stem. Fed Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave.

Last smoke of the day is Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum. Going to empty the dishwasher and read while this bowl lasts.

Love this pipe! I need to talk to basil! I have this obsession with metal bands to the point that I will almost never buy a pipe without it. Combined with the tomato shape and fancy stem, really pretty to my 👁

I don't blame you, but I must tell you that Basil retired from pipe making due to health reasons.

thank you for posting this pipe and the name/details! Finally figured out what my father's neat little old billiard is... a Larus & Brother pipe. The L logo is on the stem, too. The "Signature" stamping is 95% nonexistent (looks like bottom of the 'e' is all that shows), but between your pipe, notes from reborn pipes and pipephil.eu... a Larus is most certainly what it is! My father's initials were lightly stamped on it too, but seems to have lifted away when heating the stem to straighten it up...
