Close to finishing this bowl of unreleased Sutliff VaPer in a mid-2000 decade Tom Eltang straight black sand blasted canted AJ Dublin with a cream and brown horn ferrule, and a tapered black acrylic stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I have been smoking a very fresh tin of MB Navy Flake and I can't believe what the age of what you have here, is so noticeably darker. I just recently purchased a lb and I can't wait for this type of aging.

Had a bowl of Golden Ash earlier in a Royal House. I didn't really enjoy this blend the first few times I tried it in the various pipe in which I smoked it. This pipe however seemed to bring out a lot more flavor than I got from any of the others.

I'm closing in on the half way mark of this bowl of year 2012 Dan Tobacco Hamborger Veermaster in a medium bend black sandblasted 1925 Dunhill double patent “Shell” 56/10 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

A third of the way through this bowl of D&R Raccoon’s Friend in a pre-1980s straight dark brown Comoy's Sandblast 186 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Working and listening to one of my favorite radio shows, Information Please. Two of the guests on the last episode were John Carradine and Boris Karloff.

Match Revelation from PC in a MM/CD collaboration bent cob. With a few relights, burns the whole way down tasting good.

My son and family are house minding for a few days for a friend.
Time to enjoy a couple of bowls without a 5yo granddaughter busily buzzing around.

I got a few samples in sometime ago.
Trying out Sam Gawith's Black Forest

In a Peterson XL90 bent billiard, silver ferrule and vulcanite stem
The vulcanite is poor quality.
The pipe was bought new a couple of years ago. And kept in a dark cupboard always.
The stem oxidised in a short space of time despite that.
I used toothpaste to remove the oxidation which resulted in a few micro pits.
Disappointing

Otherwise the pipe is a fine smoker.
The thick walls of the bowl means the pipe barely feels warm in hand.
And the curve of the stem makes lighting a cinch - able to see the whole surface of the bowl easily without singeing nose or eyebrows.
