Work's done for the day, and my last smoke for this morning is Wilke Peanut Butter in a 1980s black sandblasted slight bend Savory’s Argyll 281 Cherrywood with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Fed Suzy and Molly. It's too cold for the ferals to be out, and I assume they are somewhere warm.

I have never been especially familiarized with HU tobaccos. I have tried only a few samples given to me by fellow smokers at our Club meetings. In my notebook (Excel spreadsheet) with tobaccos I'd like to taste/taste again, I find 2 registrations: HU Lousianna Broken and HU Μy Red Fox. I think I've tried the first and read very good reviews about the second. Also, based on reviews from TR, in my last "contact" with the well-known company based on the riverside of Elba, in northern Germany, just a few kilometers away from my Lady's village, I purchased 2 aromatics: Bahia O. (-range) and Moroccan Bazaar.
I opened the first one. The chocolate-orange smell from the tin is superb. That is, of course, a lovely combination... to eat. But, to smoke it? And how many times the smell of an aromatic is excellent but when you put fire on it you get disappointed? Well, I am not disappointed at all, but... at least in this first bowl, it's a bit harsh on the upper mouth for me. But this can be changed. I hope so.

In a GL (George Leousis) "Simple" pipe.

Merry Christmas to all of you good people!

Smoking some Torben Dansk Virginia Mysore Ready Rubbed Flake in the Kiko. Imho this is not far from Hamborger Veermaster, although I took the Mysore especially for blending purposes to tone down down some of the South African OTC’s. I also put some pure Louisiana Perique for further down the road.

Couldn’t lock into the forum for almost a month, we swapped to our second home situated in the capetonian suburbs - “403 forbidden” obviously the forum server doesn’t accept any requests from SA servers. Don’t know why, maybe kind of geo blocking. Could reach the PSD forum, and created an account up there, which I didn’t use for some reason.

In the morning I set up a VPN that is supposed to work even from china, best it’s for free. Now it works again.

Maybe it’s simply about knowing where home is.

All the best wishes to you for Christmas or Hanukkah or whatever to come.

Good morning. Some G.L.Pease Jack Knife Ready Rubbed in a Ser Jacopo Picta Van Gogh Rusticated Bent Billiard with Silver (R1) (01) with my coffee. I am, also, doing some quiet reading this morning on the messianic prophecies of the Old Testament... fascinating.KIMG1634.JPG

Happy Christmas Eve!

Today’s experiment is 2007 Christmas Cheer vs. first year Sixpence. CC on the left, Sixpence on the right. Feeling a little streets of London, so the CC in the @cramptholomew A Christmas Carol and the Sixpnence in the very early 20th century Elstone Barnsley I acquired from @paulfg. Got the CC as a bonus with some other tobaccos I’m pretty sure I purchased from @troutface (Secret Santa meme-meister) and the Sixpence in a giant tin from @hoosierpipeguy, so kind of a forum Xmas Eve morning.

The CC is just as good as yesterday! The Sixpence has a little bite to it and to my developing palate more flavorful this morning, this blend has been quite the revelation for me.

Todays dumbass tip - if you are smoking in the garage, cover the mug of freshly poured over coffee with something and you won’t have to run in the house every ten minutes to ruin it in the microwave!

Maybe this year Santa will bring me those extra brain cells. 😀🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
