It is a icy day in the sleepy little West Virginia town that I live in. Luckily the electric has stayed on at my house, but others in the area have not been so fortunate. I am watching the winter's day from my sun room and smoking Molto Dolce in my MOLINA Green 80989 pipe. I followed that bowl up with some Mixture 79 to have with my last sips of coffee.

Smoking tonight, another "Frankenstein" mixture , coming from the jar where I keep the leftovers and scraps of tobacco, from tins that are (almost) finished, and let them there "blend" and "mature" together. I can not recall an occasion that this multivariety tobacco has dissatisfied me. In what is (in my humble opinion) the most elegant pipe of my humble collection, made by George Leousis - GL Pipes.

P.S. 1 The German Christmas sweets ("Lebkuchen") are coming directly from the famous shop "Schmidt" in the heart of the city of Nurenberg/Bavaria.

P.S. 2 This bowl is for Weezell, rest in piece brother.

Low Country Waccamaw in a Savinelli billiard. I just opened a tin from 2019 that was already bulging a bit. There was a very sweet and tangy tin note when I opened it; kinda like a bit of malty beer that was left in a glass overnight (but in a good way). It’s as good as I remember it: malty, sweet (very sweet Virginias), and musty. An underrated blend, I think, if you give it a bit of age.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am not far from finishing this bowl of Prince Albert in a straight smooth walnut 1927 KBB Kaywoodie Drinkless 86 dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This model was only made in 1927. Gold Star Panama, neat, is my drink.

Close to finishing this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue Flake in a straight 1924 Dunhill’s “Shell Briar” patent pot 7 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. The rain finally stopped, but it's dark and windy, so I am staying inside.
