Relaxing after a wonderful salad, rainbow trout and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm a third of the way through this bowl of year 1983 Condor Long Cut in a smooth straight 1870s Au Pacha meerschaum canted cutty with a sterling silver band and amber orific stem. This style of meer, and most certainly the Condor, were the favorite choices of David "Weezell" Ward, who passed away this afternoon. This smoke is for David. Rest in Peace, my friend.
Now smoking year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching Nero Wolfe starring Mr. Conrad.
The surface is clean and effective, but the tar inside the stem cannot be removed well. I decided to try the wire later.

Wilke 193 in a Bjarne hand carved in Denmark…bought this in 1976 for $40. It’s not my first pipe I bought but it’s my oldest I have now. Bjarne Nielsen was a heck of a pipe maker. It’s a treasure

Part way through this bowl of Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson Ebony POTY 4AB No. 422/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem.
Just reading about the passing of “the weez” and so I’ve grabbed a Pete 999 and filled it with St James Plug……………whiskey is along side.
