That’s a beauty. I didn’t want to start a new thread with this question so I thought I’d try it here: I’m thinking of buying an antique pipe with an orific bit. Is there any bad point about such a bit? I mean to the smoking experience? I’m supposing not since I seem to recall that you have more than one pipe as such? Thanks!
The only caveat I can think of at this moment is that you’ll need to purchase Falcon Extra Thin pipe cleaners, as older pipes from the late 19 Century/early 20th Century with orific bits have smaller draught holes.

This is exactly what I am confused about recently. My clay pipe can hardly be cleaned because the draught hole is too small. After several unsuccessful attempts, I threw it into the ultrasonic cleaner for vinyl records:cry:

Just passing the quarter mark on this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 2002 smooth top, black sandblasted quarter bend military mount Karl Erik Ekstravagant horn with a horn insert in the ferrule and black acrylic stem. I may end the day with this smoke.

Did you try running a piece of wire through it? Baking and the use of fire have also been used to clean them.

I forgot that the wire can be used! :(
Baking means putting it in the oven to bake for a while? What temperature and time are appropriate? Thank you for your tips!
