Now smoking D&R Windsail in a smooth straight dark brown family era “Canadian” by Sasieni with a black tapered vulcanite stem. Going to the studio to work on commission ideas. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of D&R VIP in a 2004 smooth long shank Trever Talbot Ligne Bretagne Faite en Bretagne 4/3 lumberman with a black vulcanite tapered stem.

I can also now safely say that after smoking cobs, briars, clays, meerschaum, and now morta, there is no such thing as a pipe material that will not ghost.
Exactly my experience, except perhaps with porcelain. I can get the porcelain bowl almost back to bare surface after a smoke with wet paper towels.

Cobs and a few other woods eg strawberry, pear, birch, manzanita are materials I have not yet tried. But I have well and truly scratched the itch trying pipes made from different materials.
