Finally got around to smoking a bowl. Briar Fox in a Ropp squat bulldog with horn stem. Freezing my ass off.

First, Samuel Gawith Skiff Mixture in a Ferndown Spigot Stem Bulldog Chruchwarden.
This was an old tin and needed some severe rehydration but even still Skiff Mixture is as full flavored as ever.

Second, a blend of Star of the East with about 30% Sutliff RC-1 and 10% Old Dark Fired, smoked in a Missouri Meerschaum Freehand Cob.
I almost couldn't pick out the Latakia though I'm sure I would miss it if it weren't there, the matured Red VA with Dark Fired dominated the palette with sweetness, overall quite a pleasant blend.

@frozenchurchwarden I enjoyed the Skiff Mixture in my clay pipes; something about Gawith tobacco and clay pipes!

@crawdad Yes very wild and windy ?️ here in England as Storm Barra blows in. Going to have a very busy day litter picking on Thursday; the rivers are too high for wading

@samuelgawith01 Just smoked a clay pipe of Rustica; getting too windy ?️ to enjoy smoking a clay as the baccy burns too hot ?!!!
Going to drink a beer ? or two to wash it down; that clay pipe of baccy went down well!
If I don't get tempted into smoking a clay pipe the Rustica and Chocolate ? Flake would be good for re-enactment; it would be well aged then; problem is if I get hold of some pipe baccy I want to smoke it...

Old MSO489 is smoking Old Joe Krantz original in a straight blast tapered Kaywoodie billiard after running prescriptions and sundries from the nearby Walgreens which has become my trading post during pandemic times. An employee hailed me from the photo counter to check me out so I didn't have to wait in line at the main register; what a nice holiday gift.
