Whole leaf blend. Experimenting with a sort of va/ky/or with a touch of latakia. Was going for a sort of walnut(or bald headed teacher) thing, but I haven't tried those. Maybe like a kentucky based English with such a small amount of lat to only enhance the richness and give a slight woodsy character to the smoke. Anyway....
40% kentucky
30% black stoved bright virginia
10% unstoved red virginia
10% prelip
5% basma
5% latakia
I am really liking this. The kentucky is softened by the caramel sweetness of the stoved va(I slightly upped this amount from a previous incarnation), the unstoved red adds some bready notes and the prelip brings some spice and basma touch of sour and floral notes. the latakia adds some richness, and especially enhances the Kentucky and prelip .
Ribbon cut. Through a vauen sandblasted billiard which I replaced the stem so now it's a stubby.
