Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple and am now smoking Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight late ‘50s, early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.

1991 McClelland’s Mixture No. 6 in a 1909 Louis Blumfeld Calabash. Recently Refurbished this pipe, and since the tin didn’t appear to have any interest in the sale thread, I figured what better way to break it in.

The Oriental’s and Virginia’s are sweet, and rich. There’s a hint of Syrian Latakia and some Cavendish that gives a nice bottom to the blend. Voluminous amount of smoke. It’s medium in flavor, just shy of medium for the nic.

Figured I’d probably never get around to smoking this, but now I’m glad I did. Awesome tobacco.

Peterson Nightcap in my Castello rusticated Sea Rock. I finally got a few tins of this once Peterson re-marketed it. Good to have it back in my inventory. So I enjoyed a bowl out in the garage all snuggled and cocooned inside my electric blanket. I know that a few years ago smoking this very same (Dunhill then) tobacco outside in my smoking cave I tripped out of my cocoon, (the chair collapsed that I was sitting in) knocked over the lamp which broke and got tangled up in the blanket and it's cord spilling the Nightcap all over the garage floor. After some thrashing and quality cursing I managed to un-entangle myself, right the chair, replace the light bulb, scoop the spilled tobacco off the garage floor and re-pack my pipe. Fortunately being the lithe and limber old guy that I am, rotf that did not happen this time but the memory was still vivid in my mind's eye.
What can I say?
